Production Shift Manager – Night Shift Shift Pattern: 4-on/4-off, 12‑hour shifts Responsibilities Oversee and lead the night-shift production team (~12–14 staff), ensuring key KPIs (safety, quality, service, cost) are met daily. Enforce health & safety and food safety standards—conduct audits, accident investigations, risk assessments. Coordinate production—manage shift handovers, hygiene routines, product changeovers, and clean-downs. Control costs by monitoring labour, materials, utilities; manage raw material usage with SAP/MRP methods. Identify/lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies. Produce daily production reports, escalate issues, and support audits/investigations. Provide coaching, training, and development for shift staff; assist in recruitment as needed. Requirements Proven experience in FMCG or food manufacturing shift supervision/management. Strong leadership and team-development skills. Knowledge of health, safety, and food-safety regulations (e.g., BRC standards). Proficiency in IT tools—especially Excel and MRP/ERP systems (SAP experience is desirable). Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement frameworks is highly valued. Desirable Qualifications Experience in food production environments. Food-safety / hygiene certification.
