Job Description
* The candidate should have a good understanding of the Jack Wills brand and its market position.
* Strong knowledge of fabrics and design capabilities across supply chains.
* Ability to design for multiple product categories such as wovens, jersey, knitwear, & denim.
* Design and develop ranges, focusing on brand elevation and attention to detail.
* Confidently present research and ranges to the wider team and management in a clear and engaging manner.
* Communicate with suppliers and oversee the development process, ensuring ranges are produced to the highest standards, including reviewing CPs & managing timelines.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Work well within an established design and buying team, contributing new and innovative ideas.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in a design role
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
* Ability to design trend-led, commercial, and conceptual ranges
* Ability to create detailed tech packs
* Experience communicating with factories and managing ranges from initial design to production, ensuring high standards and timeliness
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Strong presentation skills, able to communicate ideas clearly and enthusiastically
* Experience with knitwear design
* Dynamic and adaptable
* Ability to follow directions and work independently
* Attention to detail and organizational skills
* A positive approach to tasks and challenges
* Contribute to the design team by sharing knowledge and skills
* Work well within a team while bringing fresh ideas
