Pre-Sales & Technical Support Engineer – Aritech (UK)
At Kidde Global Solutions you’ll be part of a global technology leader in fire, life safety and security solutions, working with industry‑defining brands such as Kidde, Edwards, and our security brand Aritech.
Location: KGS office, Milton Keynes (Milton Keynes office). You will travel throughout the UK to provide on‑site product demonstrations and technical/design support. Preferred candidates are within a 1‑hour drive of Milton Keynes.
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pre‑Sales & Technical Support Engineer to provide technical and design support, proposal development and customer satisfaction for our UK market, playing a vital role in sales growth and customer success.
Responsibilities
* Recommend, design, and quote Aritech security solutions that meet or exceed customer needs.
* Participate in customer visits and technical discussions to resolve specific technical problems and proactively specify KGS Aritech security products, meeting customer requirements.
* Liaise closely with the sales team & product management to develop region‑specific solutions.
* Provide regular feedback on customers’ technical requirements and complaints in relation to KGS and competitive products.
* Advise the commercial team on the benefits of KGS products, competitive comparisons and recommend cost‑effective solutions.
* Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of product technical documentation, test reports, approvals, certifications, etc.
* Organise and conduct customer technical training jointly with the commercial team.
* Deliver product overviews and lead pre‑sales presentations to clients & consultants.
* Provide and coordinate after‑sales technical support to Business Partners & end users.
* Provide telephone and email technical support.
* Distribute marketing and communication announcements relating to new products and product updates.
* Maintain and update customer price lists.
Requirements
* Degree in Engineering (Electronics/Electrical/Electro‑Mechanical preferred) or equivalent technical education with relevant job experience.
* Minimum 5 years of technical experience, ideally in the security industry, with demonstrated abilities in key role areas.
* Proven technical & design skills; enjoys multiple assignments or projects in a wide range of product applications.
* Good knowledge and understanding of software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Good understanding of technical and commercial “interface” of the role.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Ability to work within a team environment.
* Dynamic, results‑driven self‑starter; works independently.
* Customer and service approach, positive and creative, ability to understand and analyse customer needs.
