LB Design Recruitment are partnering with an award-winning architectural and urban design practice with an established reputation for delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use developments across the UK. With multiple studios nationwide and a strong design ethos rooted in placemaking and sustainable communities, they are now seeking a Senior Architectural Technician to join their Romsey office.
As a Senior Architectural Technician, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of projects from planning through to detailed design. You will support and coordinate project teams, ensuring technical information is accurate, compliant and delivered to programme.
You will be confident leading on drawing packages, supporting planning submissions where required, and assisting with the progression of schemes into technical and delivery stages. There will also be opportunities to mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement within the studio.
Key Experience & Skills
* Minimum 5+ years UK-based experience, primarily on residential or mixed-use projects
* Strong technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing
* Experience working for developer clients and/or national housebuilders
* Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit experience beneficial)
* Good understanding of planning processes and residential standards
* Strong coordination and organisational skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
* Proactive approach and interest in ongoing CPD and professional development
Responsibilities
This is a full-time role based in the Romsey office, offering flexible hybrid working arrangements (part office-based / part working from home). The Senior Architectural Technician will lead on drawing packages, support planning submissions where required, and progress schemes into technical and delivery stages. They will coordinate project teams to ensure technical information is accurate, compliant and delivered to programme. There will also be opportunities to mentor junior team members and contribute to studio-wide continuous improvement.
Location & Requirements
This role is based in the Romsey office. applicants will need their own transport due to location, although the office is within cycling distance of the nearest train station.
