What you’ll do on a typical day:
Lead and motivate your team to achieve KPIs and operational targets
* Deliver daily shift briefings and ensure clear communication across the operation
* Manage staffing levels, absence and holiday planning to maintain service levels
* Drive a proactive approach to Health & Safety, ensuring compliance and best practice
* Monitor performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
* Work closely with transport and planning teams to optimise resources and vehicle utilisation
* Ensure operational costs are controlled and budgets are met
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Demonstrable experience in a supervisory or management role within warehousing
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
* Sound understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
* Ability to manage operations within budgetary constraints
* PC literacy and experience with warehouse systems
* Flexible approach to working hours and a commitment to operational excellence
