Maintenance Engineer
We're working with a well-established food production business in the Scottish Borders who are looking to add a Multi-Skilled Engineer to their on-site team at a busy packing facility.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and wants to be part of a supportive and skilled engineering team.
The Role
In this hands-on role, you'll be carrying out a mix of reactive and planned preventative maintenance across a wide range of equipment. You'll work closely with the engineering team to:
1. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
2. Support ongoing improvement projects and new installation
3. Maintain and enhance food washing, grading, and packing machinery
4. You'll be an important part of the team keeping production running smoothly and safely, particularly during the busy peak season.
About You
We're looking for someone who brings a positive, solutions-focused attitude, with the following skills and experience:
5. Fully qualified multi-skilled engineer, preferably with an electrical bias
6. 18th Edition Electrical Qualification (essential
7. Confident in fault-finding and problem solving across mechanical and electrical systems
8. Eager to learn and develop with a proactive approach

10. Progression to £23.00 per hour following in-house training and development
11. Overtime paid at time and a half
12. 4 on 4 off shift pattern | 06:00-18:00 (may vary during peak Christmas period)
13. Weekly pay - every Friday
14. 5 hours of holiday annually
