Job Responsibilities: Position Summary: Reporting to the Business Unit Supervisor, the Team Leader for the Safety, Quality, Output of the assigned area on a day to day basis, whilst upholding Magna’s standards and driving continuous Improvement. Role Responsibilities: This role entails but is not limited to: - Safety promotion of employees and processes – PPE Auditing, LOTO, COSHH Job ability – quality sign off and building of competence and confidence of technical skills Leading Teams and delivering Tier 1 daily meetings, supporting escalation when required Problem solving and Kaizen – seeking root cause for downtime or quality issues using CI tools Deliver the Autonomous Maintenance schedule Human Relations – building and developing a high performing Team addressing T&A issues, Return to Work and recognition of high performing individuals Able to lead investigations, resolve grievances and monitor absenteeism and take appropriate action where needed Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all Health and Safety environmental requirements Personal Attributes: Good problem-solving skills Team player and promotes a team approach to problem solving Confidence to challenge the status quo Confident delivery of positive and negative information to single and multiple audiences Target driven Work collaboratively to achieve project/company goals Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Good communicator both written and verbal Ability to work under pressure Organised and able to multi-task Proactive in approach with a “can do attitude” Self-motivated Eligibility to work in the UK EXPERIENCE: Essential Proven Production leadership experience Experience of problem solving – 3C Use of 5S to improve production environment Group communication delivery Ability to carry out Risk Assessments Good working knowledge of Microsoft Able to create SWIs Use of KPI’s to track performance Ability to carry out audits Desirable: White belt trained IOSH Qualification Tier 1 automotive supply Familiar with CLAIR approach (Clean, Lubricate, Adjust, Inspect, Repair) Experience within castings sector Awareness, Unity, Empowerment: At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
