Overview
A day in the life of a Food Service Assistant:
Responsibilities
* Providing high levels of service of food and/or beverages to customers, adhering to the standards set by the company.
* Performing cleaning and replenishment duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture. Ensuring service area and/or service points are clean and stocked up.
* Food assembly and service of same in an efficient manner, which may include some light cooking.
* Monitoring and recording food and equipment temperatures.
* Handling cash transactions and ensuring the accurate cash handling procedures are followed in accordance with company procedure and till procedures.
* Barista duties.
* Ability to work with minimal direction and as part of a team.
Qualifications
* Ideally, previous experience within a catering environment. On the job training will be provided and must acquire basic food hygiene qualification within first six months of employment.
* Good understanding of written and spoken English.
* Customer service experience.
* Good timekeeping.
* Must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years and have the legal right to work.
* Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
