At GXO, we're on the lookout for a passionate Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team in Barnsley. In this role, you'll deliver a multi-skilled service, performing a variety of tasks that meet legislative, company, and site standards. Your responsibilities will span facilities maintenance, electrical installation, repairs, testing, inspections, and supporting the on-site Dematic team across various disciplines.
Position Details
This is a full-time, permanent position, working on a '4 on 4 off' schedule, covering the hours of 18:00 - 06:00.

Your Daily Responsibilities
As an Electrical Technician, you will:
* Perform electrical installation, testing, distribution, fault finding, and repairs to 2391 Standards
* Manage electrical documentation and change control
* Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on plant and buildings is carried out efficiently
* Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) are in place and issue work permits
* Adhere to all relevant compliance with current legislation, Policies & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
What You Need to Succeed at GXO
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Previous experience in facilities or maintenance
* Industrial or Commercial Electrical Installation experience
* Electrical/Mechanical Qualification Level 3 (or equivalent)
* Level 2 Diploma in Engineering, City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring
* IOSH Managing Safely certification
