Overview
The Oxford Joint Research Office (JRO) was established in 2011 to support clinical and health‑related research undertaken by Oxford University, Oxford University Hospitals, Oxford Brookes University and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. The JRO’s remit has expanded as research activity across the Oxford ecosystem grows.
A transformation project has been funded to review and develop JRO activity, building on its strengths and aligning with national targets and local requirements. The JRO Transformation Lead will design and implement a comprehensive programme of change, working closely with the four partners and the wider life sciences and health ecosystems across Oxford and beyond.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a 6‑month project to accelerate improvements in research set‑up, identifying, designing and implementing solutions in partnership with JRO stakeholders.
* Lead an ambitious programme to develop, transform and align policy and working practices across the JRO, driving reductions in study set‑up times to meet government targets.
* Influence and oversee activity delivered by other teams across the landscape, ensuring progress alongside competing priorities.
* Present proposals, reports and progress updates to the Board of the OAHP and support its Chief Operating Officer.
* Show initiative, autonomy, leadership and strategic influencing skills to deliver changes in service and policy across the four partners (two NHS Trusts and two universities).
Benefits
Secondment will be considered. Work with a leading health and life sciences ecosystem across Oxford, collaborating with prominent universities and NHS trusts.
