Job Description:
We are hiring for Apprentice Lift Engineers for our next generation. A full-time apprenticeship with Schindler involves experience rotations across our business following a 42-month structured programme, covering Service and Maintenance, New Installations, Modernisation, Repairs, and Escalators. This allows apprentices to develop comprehensive skills across all aspects of our business. We are looking to recruit a Service and Repairs Apprentice for Greater London and surrounding areas, to cover multiple sites with various equipment. You will learn and perform all steps necessary to maintain and repair Schindler equipment, as well as equipment from other manufacturers. The process includes functional testing to ensure safety standards for clients.
The successful candidate must be hardworking, determined, ambitious, passionate about learning, and eager to progress their career within an innovative, customer-focused company. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified lift engineer with an NVQ Level 3 Lift Electromechanics qualification and formal qualifications in mechanical and/or electrical engineering. If a relevant position is available at that time, you will be offered the opportunity to join one of our Field Operation teams, with potential for further development within Schindler.
Schindler, founded in Switzerland in 1874, is a leading global provider of lifts, escalators, and moving walks. Our innovative, environmentally friendly systems contribute significantly to urban mobility. In the UK since 1960, Schindler installs, repairs, maintains, and services all types of lifts and escalators from various manufacturers. We are committed to excellent customer service and have over 60,000 employees worldwide.
