Area 1: London and surrounding areas – West of London, M4 corridor (Swindon, Newbury, Reading, Basingstoke)
Area 2: Birmingham up to Liverpool, Manchester, and North Wales
This role focuses on the following product portfolio: a full respiratory diagnostics portfolio dealing with Spirometry, Single Breath CO Gas Transfer, Lung Volumes (Gas Dilution and Full Body Plethysmography), CPET, and ECG.
Role:
The Field-Based Engineer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining existing respiratory diagnostic medical devices used in NHS and private hospitals, as well as rolling out and implementing equipment at new customer sites. The role involves maintenance and support across hardware and software, ensuring service agreements are met. Occasional overnight stays may be required. Key responsibilities include:
* Scheduled routine maintenance
* Customer education and assistance
Experience required:
* Experienced field service engineers from the medical device sector or related markets are highly desirable. Candidates with a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering are also of interest.
* Proven experience in field engineering or a solid engineering background from military service (Army/Navy), demonstrating organizational skills.
* Knowledge of network/connectivity concepts and software updates.
* Project-based work approach.
* Technical qualification or education with sound technical knowledge.
* Ability to train customers and users on products, with excellent English skills.
* Flexibility to travel and stay overnight.
* Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
* Good time management skills.
* Valid driving license.
