You take pride in your work and will drive toward a culture of zero incidents and an optimum environmental footprint. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) programs will be well implemented, unsafe conditions in current operations will be corrected, and new equipment will be designed for safe operations, allmeeting the relevant standards in R&D and local regulations. That means you will ensure that facilities provided are well maintained, regulations/procedures are in place and implemented, risk/hazard assessments are conducted, accidents both caused by both unsafe acts and unsafe conditions are reduced, energy and waste are driven down, and engineering expertise is applied to optimise designs.

How you will contribute

You will:

Support the Health, Safety & Environment cultural transformation in the R&D site

1. Contribute to the implementation of HSE standards and programs for the R&D site, including Process Safety Management

2. Engage and collaborate with teams on siteto develop an interdependent safety culture

3. Contribute to the presentation of safety updates in multi-level meetings, townhalls and safety campaigns

4. Support R&D in achievingzero accidents and incidents

5. Support teams in identifying and developing opportunities to reduce environmental impact carbon footprint

6. Collaborate with the global HSE community, sharing knowledge and best practices

7. Maintain appropriate PPE availability for staff

Support management of change for the R&D labs, pilot plant and offices on site

8. Lead the teams on site to assess risks for Pilot Plant equipmentand operations

9. Support process safety / engineering safety assessments for new equipment; influencing in the design stage and correcting in the implementation state

10. Support the safety re-assessment process for existing equipment and lead teams to execute re-assessments

11. Review and improve safe systems of work such as Work Instructions / Standard Operating Procedures and Lock Out Tag Out procedures, and maintain document control

12. Contribute to the identification and tracking of corrective actions related to equipment design and operation

13. Lead inductions for new-comers to site

14. Support safety trainings and refreshers

15. Review training records

· Support incident management for the R&D site

16. Maintain an up-to-date incident reporting system

17. Support investigations in conjunction with the HSE Lead, HSE Pillar team and safety committee

18. Drive the completion of corrective actions to eliminate root causes/reoccurrence

19. Share findings with the wider community

21. NEBOSH qualification(s)

22. Previous engineering experience and/or engineering background preferred

23. Experienceand passion forHealth, Safety & Environment programs

24. Technical curiosity, continuous learning, and a drive to ensure technical rigor

25. Excellence working in teams, and working independently with appropriate guidance

26. Proactive identification of problems, and creation and implementation of solutions

27. Experience in project management, prioritisation and managing activities

28. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
