We're working with a highly respected engineering organisation who are looking to appoint a Project Buyer to play a key role in delivering complex, high-value projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team where procurement sits at the heart of project success.
The RoleAs Project Buyer, you'll take ownership of procurement activities across multiple projects, acting as the key link between internal teams and suppliers. You'll be instrumental in ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively and delivered on time to meet critical project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end procurement activity across projects
* Source, negotiate and place purchase orders in line with project requirements
* Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Monitor and expedite deliveries to ensure timelines are met
* Support supplier selection, balancing cost, quality and lead times
* Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks
* Manage import/export documentation where required
About You
* Proven experience within procurement, ideally in a project-based or engineering environment
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
* Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar desirable)
* Proactive, solutions-focused and highly organised
