About The Role
Hippo is recruiting for Senior Product Managers to join our growing team. Product Managers ensure that our clients\' goals turn into actions, including creating a compelling vision for your product, developing the product roadmap, writing user stories, and actively managing them in a prioritised backlog.
As a Senior Consultant, specialising in Product, you\'ll be an expert in your field, in agile, and a confident coach. You\'ll lead people and teams and advocate for user-centred design approaches. Hippo provides opportunities to share your expertise with clients and team members and to continue developing as a leader.
Your Role In a Nutshell
* Inspire and guide colleagues by understanding the client\'s needs, explaining the broader context, and securing buy-in.
* Provide team leadership and protect the team from distractions to enable delivery.
* Engage with stakeholders to create a project vision and translate it into a roadmap and a prioritised backlog.
* Communicate effectively with a diverse group of people, including subject-matter experts.
* Lead a diverse, multidisciplinary team delivering work for high-profile clients.

Qualifications
We do not require formal certificates or qualifications, but you should demonstrate the ability to:
* Lead a team of specialists in their field
* Identify and use evidence of value to drive user-centered decision-making
* Build consensus and make decisive decisions when consensus is not possible
* Bridge gaps between stakeholders and the team to maintain delivery focus
* Balance constraints (policy, security) to prioritise work and meet user needs
* Perform well in delivery disciplines (Scrum, Kanban)
* Communicate confidently on behalf of the company and client
* Lead workshops and group exercises, remotely and in person
* Develop product and user-centric capabilities in others

Location and travel
Hippo locations include Leeds (headquartered) and offices across the UK in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Bristol. You should be located within reasonable travelling distance from one of our offices. The role may require on-site work at a Hippo office or client location, and travel may be needed. Relocation support of up to £8,000 is available (terms apply).
