System Architect - Defence Programmes
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining cutting-edge submarine systems architecture in a UK defence programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of logical, physical, and functional system architectures, ensuring compliance with design, feasibility, and performance requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of systems engineering lifecycle, particularly in early concept/design stages. A STEM degree or relevant experience in Defence, Nuclear, Telecoms, or Automotive is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define and maintain system architectures that meet design and performance requirements
* Provide expert input from design to commissioning, ensuring seamless project execution
* Mentor engineers and develop architectural maturity within the team
* Support bid and proposal activities through scope and resource estimation
Requirements:
* Deep understanding of systems engineering lifecycle, especially early concept/design
* STEM degree or experience in Defence, Nuclear, Telecoms, or Automotive
* Track record of working on early-stage systems architecture
* INCOSE membership or equivalent industry recognition (desirable)
