About the Role
Our client is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high-speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
We are currently seeking an experienced Section Engineer with a strong background in earthworks and/or drainage to join our team on a long-term freelance contract based in the Calvert area.
Reporting to the Sub Agent, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of works from construction through to close-out, ensuring activities are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Report directly to the Sub Agent and support the delivery of works from construction to completion
Supervise and manage the site engineering team, including performance and development of Site Engineers
Assist with temporary works design schemes and ensure implementation aligns with approved designs
Liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, and materials effectively
Manage and coordinate site setting-out activities
