Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust - Consultant Nurse or AHP Lead for Stroke Rehabilitation Service
Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and dynamic Consultant Nurse or Allied Health Professional (AHP) to lead our Stroke Rehabilitation Service. Role Overview:
* As Clinical Lead, you will collaborate with senior clinicians, the interdisciplinary team, operational management, and external partners to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
* You will provide expert clinical leadership, address concerns, and ensure effective communication.
* This role offers opportunities for professional development and a key position within the stroke service’s leadership team.
Qualifications and Experience:
* First-level AHP or RN qualification.
* Independent and supplementary nurse prescribing certificate.
* Master's degree (or working towards completion).
* Relevant post-registration qualification.
* At least 5 years of rehabilitation experience.
* Strong professional portfolio.
Skills and Attributes:
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
Main Responsibilities:
* Drive high-quality, evidence-based care, lead audits, support research, and ensure excellent patient outcomes.
* Lead service development and redesign of care pathways in collaboration with stakeholders.
* Undertake clinical audits and research to maintain clinical excellence.
* Contribute to specialist training and education programs.
* Spend the majority of time in direct autonomous clinical practice, managing a defined patient cohort.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Assess and rehabilitate patients with stroke or neurological conditions, with significant clinical skills in one rehabilitation profession.
* Collaborate with medical and commissioning colleagues to facilitate patient transfers and repatriations.
* Act as a trusted assessor for complex rehabilitation patients requiring specialist or tertiary care.
* Provide clinical and strategic leadership in service development and care pathway redesign.
