The role is within Frazer-Nash Maritime focused teams, which comprise: Naval Safety and Assurance (Bristol/Plymouth/Portsmouth); Marine Technology (Bristol); Naval Nuclear Assurance (Plymouth). Each team brings a wide range of civil and military engineering experience and you will be matched to the best fit for you. If you have a strong interest in a particular team, please mention it in your covering letter.
You will develop your technical knowledge across the CADMID phases of maritime projects and work on real-time in-service issues while addressing future challenges such as autonomous vessels and sustainable fuels. You will have the opportunity to travel within the UK and internationally to client sites and industry events.

Responsibilities
* Develop technical knowledge across the CADMID phases of maritime projects and contribute to solving design and in-service challenges.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver client solutions and support vessel build and delivery.
* Address material degradation and ageing issues as vessels approach end of design life; explore future maritime challenges such as autonomous vessels and sustainable fuels.
* Engage with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to safety and risk assessments where appropriate.
* Take on appropriate responsibility from day one as part of a project team.
Qualifications
* To have obtained a 2:1 degree or higher (or equivalent/experience) with a related Engineering or scientific bias. Relevant degree courses include: Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Ship Science.
* Open-minded, collaborative, and creative approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to work well in both a team and on own initiative.
* Pre-employment screening and UK National Security Vetting clearance may be required.
