Denbies Wine Estate, one of England's largest vineyards, is currently recruiting for an experienced Bar & Lounge Waiter / Waitress to provide high-quality service for our Restaurants.
You will be working alongside the team in running the day-to-day operations of the Restaurants.
Responsibilities:
* To be available for cross-training in other departments and help support other areas.
* Participate in daily duties allocated by the Catering Management Team, ensuring all planned work is carried out to the required standards of F&B Services.
* Work in a professional manner with all internal and external customers.
* Provide a friendly and efficient service ensuring a high standard of hospitality.
* Have a good working knowledge of the wine lists to facilitate assistance with the guest's choice.
* Upsell at every opportunity to maximise profitability.
* Have knowledge of Denbies Vineyard Hotel / Denbies Wine Estate Ltd and facilities available to guests.
* Liaise with Manager and Front of House team and the Kitchen to ensure back of house areas are maintained.
* Process all Beverage transactions to ensure security standards are met.
* Provide the highest standards in Banqueting and Bar set-ups.
* Take responsibility for the security and safe handling of all equipment used within the Restaurants.
Requirements:
* Excellent team working
* Strong communication skills
* Keen interest in Wine, Spirits and Food
* Good general knowledge of wine desirable but not necessary
* High levels of self motivation
* Personally well planned and organised
* Flexible approach to working shift patterns
* Positive and friendly attitude
* Receptive to ongoing training and development
* Good level of conversational and written English
* Minimum Level 1 WSET Award in Wines and Wine Service desirable but not necessary

You will be working as part of a team on a rota basis, this will include working weekends and evenings.
