What to expect day to day:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CloudOps Engineer to automate, deploy, and secure customer-facing cloud solutions using DevSecOps practices such as automation, CI pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and security.
You will collaborate with software development, product, and operations teams to identify and eliminate constraints in the product lifecycle. Additionally, you will develop monitoring and alerting for AWS platforms and software to ensure reliable availability of internal and production systems.
The ideal candidate is ambitious, takes ownership, possesses strong technical problem-solving skills, and is collaborative. A passion for automating repetitive tasks and staying updated with current technological trends is essential. You will work with a small, existing team and are expected to contribute additional knowledge and experience to support the company's growth. Availability for on-call rotation and occasional travel is required.
What you'll need:
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role (SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps)
* Understanding of the SDLC process
* Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
* Experience with container technologies (Docker or Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)
* Proficiency with AWS services (VPC, Security Groups, EC2, Route53, IAM, S3, AWS CLI)
* Experience with CI pipelines (GitLab CI, Travis CI, etc.)
* Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, Ruby, etc.)
* Experience with source control management (Git, SVN)
* Linux systems administration experience (Ubuntu, CentOS)
* Experience with web servers (Apache, NGINX)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience producing technical and process documentation
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field is desirable but not essential

* Experience with monitoring and graphing tools (Prometheus + Grafana, Nagios, Datadog)
* Elastic Stack
* Repository solutions (Jfrog Artifactory, Jfrog Bintray)
* OpenVPN
* Apache Tomcat
* Messaging platforms (RabbitMQ, Postfix, Mandrill)
* SQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
* Microservice architecture
