IT Infrastructure Manager
London (Hybrid - 3 days on-site) £70-75k per annum, plus benefits
We're working with a well-established, globally recognised digital and technology-led organisation to appoint an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager. This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced, transformation-driven environment, where technology underpins a diverse portfolio of services and client delivery.
The business is at an exciting stage of evolution, investing heavily in its platforms, security, and cloud-first strategy. As part of this journey, they're looking for someone who can bring both operational excellence and forward-thinking leadership to their infrastructure function.
Operating within a security-first environment, the Infrastructure Manager ensures that all technology environments are stable, scalable and aligned with enterprise architectural standards and recognised security frameworks, including ISO27001, NIST and Cyber Essentials Plus.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Operations
Own and manage the Head Office and Hosted Business IT infrastructure estate (on-premise, cloud, and hybrid).
Oversee server, network, storage, virtualisation, and core platform environments.
Oversee cloud infrastructure and platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and Software-as-a-Service environments.
Ensure effective monitoring, incident management, and root cause analysis.
Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning.
Security, Resilience & Compliance
Embed security-by-design across infrastructure services
Work closely with the Group Cyber Security team to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulations
Regularly test and maintain Disaster Recovery and resilience plans
Ensure infrastructure supports regulatory and audit requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, CE+)
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, coach, and develop the Infrastructure & Operations team
Set clear objectives, conduct performance reviews, and build capability
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Manage third-party suppliers, vendors, and service providers
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with the IT Senior Management Team and senior stakeholders across the business
Provide clear communication on risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines
Essential Skills & Experience
Up to 3 years proven experience in an Infrastructure Manager or Senior Infrastructure roleStrong technical background across:
Server and operating systems (Windows/Linux)
Networking (Palo Alto firewalls, Ubiquiti switches and Meraki WAPs)
Virtualisation (Hyper-V and Azure)
Cloud platforms (M365, Azure)
Modern device management (Intune, Jamf Pro)
Experience managing hybrid IT environments
Experience leading and developing technical teams
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience managing third-party vendors and suppliers
