We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Finance Assistant to support a busy finance team with tax and reporting activities.
This role would suit someone with prior accounts experience who is keen to build hands‑on exposure within a structured finance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT returns
Posting monthly intercompany recharge journals.
Collating data to support and submit ONS returns
Assisting with the preparation of P11Ds, including gathering benefits information
Supporting corporation tax processes, including preparing schedules and responding to basic queries
Assisting with ad hoc tax and external reporting requests
Maintaining accurate records and supporting audit and compliance requirements
Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role (or relevant temp assignment)
Basic understanding of UK VAT and accounting principles
Comfortable using Excel for data entry and reconciliation
Experience with Dynamics AX or another ERP system is beneficial but not essential
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Able to start at short notice and commit to a temporary assignment
