So, who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a confident and strategic Procurement Manager with a strong background in contractor management, tendering, and supplier performance. You’ll be someone who thrives on creating structure, driving improvements, and building strong supplier relationships. With a sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach, you’ll bring clarity, consistency, and commercial value to our procurement processes—while ensuring quality, compliance, and brand representation remain top priorities. If you're highly organised, solutions-focused, and ready to make a real impact, we want to hear from you.
And what will you be doing?
No two days are the same but the below gives you a flavour for some of the tasks you’d typically be involved with. Even if you can’t tick everything off from the list below but think you’ve got what it takes, we’d be keen for you to apply:
1. Manage the selection, onboarding, and accreditation of contractors across regional and specialist workstreams.
2. Ensure that only the highest-performing, fully compliant contractors are engaged.
3. Be the key point of contact for all things contractor-related.
4. Lead and refine regional and national tender processes, collaborating with Compliance and Operations teams.
5. Shape clear and effective specifications across hard and soft services.
6. Ensure value for money, service quality, and alignment with business goals.
7. Develop and deliver contractor performance tracking systems and SLAs.
8. Host regular supplier meetings, championing continuous improvement.
9. Recognise excellence and take action to address underperformance.
10. Reduce supplier overload, ensuring only the right people are assigned to the right projects.
11. Manage utilities and heat networks to improve governance and cost control.
12. Identify risk, monitor insurance and compliance, and maintain a blacklisted supplier system.
13. Ensure contractors perform, whilst positively representing the Centrick brand.
14. Build strong working relationships with on-site teams and long-term partners.
We’re looking for someone who’s strategic, organised, and results-driven, with the ability to work collaboratively and lead improvements at scale.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. 3+ years in a procurement or contractor management role.
2. Experience in tendering, SLAs, utilities, or heat networks.
3. Degree in Business, Procurement, or Supply Chain (desirable).
4. CIPS qualification or equivalent (advantageous).
5. Advanced Excel and strong reporting ability.
6. Excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
7. A confident communicator and relationship builder.
8. Meticulous about detail, compliance, and performance data.
