Overview
Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a Manual Machinist to work with a well-established engineering company based near Halesowen. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for ensuring quality engineering of components using relevant procedures and methods.
Shift Pattern
Rotating double days:
* Week 1: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
* Week 2: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
What’s On Offer
* Competitive hourly rate up to £17.00 DOE
* Monthly bonus

Duties
* Machining quality components in accordance with technical engineering drawings and specifications
* Manual Milling
* Manual Turning
* Boring
* Setting one-off components using clamps, angle plates, etc.
* Correctly identifying parts using hard stamping
* Deburring components and ensuring they are fit for transportation
* Carry out daily bookings against route card jobs and timings
* Inspection for all components throughout the process
* Maintain a safe working environment and comply with the company’s H&S policy
Experience & Qualifications
* Time Served Apprenticeship, with an appropriate craft or technical qualification (preferable)
* Experience milling, boring and turning within a heavy engineering environment (Essential)
* Able to read and interpret technical engineering drawings (Essential)
