Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Belfast - Shifts - Starting Salary £48,500
Your Company
Our client is part of a global enterprise and recognized as an industry leader within their sector, manufacturing components for use across a host of household names.
Your Role
While on shift, your core duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Conduct Routine Inspections: Regularly inspect machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure they are in good working condition.
2. Perform Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
3. Troubleshoot and Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment issues promptly to avoid production delays.
4. Install and Upgrade Equipment: Oversee the installation of new machinery and equipment, and recommend upgrades to improve efficiency.
5. Manage Spare Parts Inventory: Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and order replacements as needed to ensure continuous operation.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, documenting maintenance activities, training staff, collaborating with other departments, and performing root cause analysis to prevent equipment failures.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have completed a Mechatronic or Electrical apprenticeship in a manufacturing or production setting, with at least 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience. Experience with PLCs, controls, robotics, hydraulics, and pneumatics is advantageous. A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in engineering or equivalent is preferred.
