Job Description Summary
We have a new opportunity for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL or Snr MSL depending on experience) to join our Immunology team. The MSL is a field-based, non-promotional medical and scientific role. Their key objective is to build partnerships with external Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) such as clinical investigators, disease area experts, decision makers, to communicate evidence-based critical scientific, medical, technical, and developmental issues. Within this role, the associate works with HCPs utilizing scientific exchange to improve patient care solutions, based upon sound scientific, medical, and pharmaceutical evidence. All exchanges must be scientifically up-to-date, balanced, and of a non-promotional nature.

This territory for this role includes the East of England from North of London to Sheffield and west towards but not including Manchester.
Please note it is required that the successful candidate lives on the territory as the role involves significant travel to customers across the territory.
Candidates must have the right to work permanently in the UK. Unfortunately, neither visa nor relocation support are available for this role.

Key responsibilities:
1. Developing and maintaining long-term professional relationships with investigators, medical specialists, and healthcare professionals. Using superior therapy area and product knowledge to engage with HCPs through non-promotional evidence-based scientific dialogue and presentations. Discussing scientific research concepts and ideas with investigators.
2. Collaborating with colleagues to support meetings by collecting and interpreting insights, competitive intelligence, presentations, and results. Maintaining close cross-functional work with medical, sales, and marketing teams.
3. Providing medical support as part of a cross-functional team to relevant clinical development studies, including feasibility assessments, research site recommendations, TA/product training, educational activities, and dissemination of study results.
4. Administering medical support to the Brand Franchise team, including identification of HCPs and advisory boards.
5. Acting as a field-based reference point for non-promotional scientific and clinical expertise to the field force.
6. Identifying and tracking potential research opportunities aligned with Novartis development objectives through facilitating IITs and MTA research.
7. Implementing and supporting scientific projects according to global strategies, including registries, epidemiology projects, and preclinical or translational research.
8. Ensuring compliance with legislation, GCP, Ethical Committees, SOPs, local WP requirements, and ABPI Code of Practice.
Requirements:
1. Open to candidates with MSL experience from different therapy areas or healthcare professionals with relevant Immunology experience from NHS.
2. Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific field.
3. Ability to understand, process, communicate, and present scientific information to a high standard.
4. Strong external customer focus, networking capabilities, and ability to engage with KOLs.
5. Excellent influencing, networking, presentation, and communication skills, with a proven track record of cross-functional teamwork.
6. Experience managing multiple projects and adapting priorities accordingly.
7. Understanding of clinical development and GCP.
8. Full UK Driver's Licence.
