West Suffolk Council Address: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 3YU Salary: £40,777 - £46,142 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: Permanent Reference: 0584 About the role West Suffolk Council has a strong reputation for forward-thinking and innovation around property, which forms a major element of many of the council’s exciting initiatives to deliver services to local residents, business and visitors. We are offering the opportunity for an ambitious, dedicated and experienced Chartered Surveyor to join the council’s Property team managing the council’s diverse portfolio of over 400 operational and non-operational land and property assets. These assets include industrial premises, local shopping centres, multi-let buildings, strategic land, scheduled ancient monuments and even a world class entertainment venue. What you will need We are seeking a RICS (Royal Institute of Professional Development) qualified commercial property surveyor with experience in commercial real estate and mixed-use property management. Some previous public sector experience is advantageous but not essential. We occupy multi-public sector offices at Bury St Edmunds and Mildenhall and at West Suffolk Council we positively encourage agile working, with work being an activity we do, not a place we go.
