Insight Global is seeking skilled Python Developer contractors to join a leading banking client for an on-site contract opportunity based in London. The successful candidate will be joining a team focused on an observability project, migrating from an existing monitoring solution to Dynatrace.
The role will involve maintaining and optimizing Python scripts for monitoring, ensuring they run on schedule and that data remains fresh and accurate. You'll work with high volumes of script processing, collaborate on middleware integrations, and contribute to API development. You'll also support deployments while writing unit tests and documenting tasks in Jira. Occasionally, you may assist with front-end components using React.
This is a 6 month contract (Inside IR35) with extensions and would require you to be on-site 5 days a week (Monday - Friday) out of the office in London.
Must-Haves:
* Strong Python development experience
* Strong understanding of monitoring platforms and scripting
* Demonstrated data manipulation skills; ensuring data integrity
* Experience with middleware tools, preferably AMPS
* Proficiency in JSON, React, REST APIs, FastAPI, Unix/Linux, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes
* Experience with unit testing and writing clear Jira tickets
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Plusses:
* Previous experience in Bank of America
* Knowledge of elastic scalability and cloud concepts
* Familiarity with Gherkin/Cucumber for BDD
* Experience with Gunicorn for Python web applications
