Job Title: Strategic Account Sales Manager – Nike & Jordan

Location: Hybrid - Office (North Manchester) / Remote

Sportax is the distributor for Nike and Jordan accessories across the UK and Ireland. We partner directly with leading performance and lifestyle retailers to create a seamless athlete ecosystem for Nike and Jordan consumers. Our categories extend through Basketball, Golf, Hydration, Running, Lifestyle, Training, and Vision, supporting athletes at every level.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic
Sales Manager
to lead and grow two of our most pivotal accounts: JD and Sports Direct. This high-profile, influential role demands an exceptional commercial acumen, relationship-building skills, and a proactive mindset. You will be responsible for nurturing end-to-end relationships, driving sales growth, managing seasonal sell-in, and shaping operational excellence for these accounts. As the primary ambassador for these key accounts, you will work closely with the Sales Director to create and implement strategic initiatives that accelerate the Nike and Jordan brands within the UK market.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute comprehensive strategic account plans to maximize growth and profitability
* Collaborate seamlessly with Nike Inc. counterparts, ensuring aligned go-to-market strategies
* Foster strong partnerships with licensees JR286 & Marchon, ensuring mutual success
* Engage with the Nike and Jordan product teams to influence assortment and commercial strategies
* Take ownership of delivering seasonal and annual sales targets
* Lead and present at seasonal Go-to-Market (GTM) meetings, driving impactful account representation
* Present the brand stories and account assortment at seasonal sell-in
* Manage the end-to-end orderbook process, including in-season trading and sell-thru analysis
* Conduct regular business review meetings with the accounts to identify opportunities and resolve challenges
* Oversee product copy, imagery, and assortment planning to optimise visual merchandising and product availability
* Astutely identify and leverage new business opportunities to expand market share

About You – The Ideal Candidate

* 5+ years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record in key account management and sales growth
* Exceptional proficiency in Excel and data analysis, with the ability to turn insights into strategic actions
* Proactive communicator with polished presentation skills; able to influence and negotiate effectively
* A collaborative team player with a "win as a team" mentality
* Confident, personable, and relationship-driven, capable of engaging at all levels of an organization
* Passionate about sports, retail, and the Nike/Jordan brands
