This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC), or behavioural challenges.

Responsibilities of a SEN Support Worker:
* Provide 1:1 support for pupils with challenging behaviour, Autism, SEMH and mental health needs
* Help promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and a safe learning space
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to provide consistent, tailored support
* Working with children in the classroom setting
* Managing challenging behaviour
* Working with students one-to-one and small groups
Requirements for SEN Support Worker:
* Has experience working with young people, this could be as a Sports Coach, Dance Leader, Scout Leader or something similar (preferred, not essential).
* Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs (preferred, not essential).
* Experience working with SEN (in school, care, or voluntary settings) preferred, not essential
* Can engage children in and out of the classroom
* Feels confident managing challenging behaviour
* Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN practices and strategies.

* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
