This is a full-time, onsite position based at our Harwell facility, located within the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus.
What you’ll do:
Inside Sales – drive pipeline and revenue
You will support the sale of Agilent Technologies’ products, solutions, and services by working closely with the Field Account Management team within your assigned territory. This includes supporting sales of chromatography (LC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS,) and spectroscopy (atomic and molecular) instrumentation to end user customers. Your focus will be on building strong customer relationships and driving business growth through proactive inbound and outbound sales activities.
Your day-to-day will include:
· Partnering closely with designated Account Managers to support territory objective
· Supporting administrative sales tasks such as quote preparation, tender responses, order booking, customer database management
· Conducting occasional on-site customer visits to drive sales activities and relationship building
· Identifying opportunities with new customers (business development) and existing customers (up-sell/cross-sell)
· Supporting and coordinating the end-to-end sales cycle, from pre-sales through to smooth delivery/installation set-up
· Assisting sales management through business data analysis, reporting, and strategic evaluation
• Contributing to project based initiatives focused on business development and pipeline generation
Tender Support – coordinate bids and strengthen win-rate
You will support the UK Sales Team by coordinating tender activity and producing high-quality bid submissions aligned to Agilent’s sales strategy and tender requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
• Working collaboratively with Account Managers, product specialists, and internal stakeholders (including legal) to develop competitive tender strategies
• Creating, reviewing, and submitting complete tender and bid packages, ensuring accuracy, quality, compliance, and on time delivery
• Analysing won and lost tenders, including scoring and customer feedback, to help establish best practice methodologies for future bid
Qualifications
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated graduate who can manage multiple priorities, communicate confidently with customers and colleagues, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while working independently to deadlines.
Required / strongly preferred:
· Recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science field -- chemistry, analytical chemistry biochemistry, biotechnology or similar
· a strong desire to learn and expand your technical and soft skills that will ultimately drive your success
· A confident, proactive, and customer oriented mindset, with strong interpersonal skills
· Good proficiency with Microsoft Office—especially Excel and PowerPoint—and a data-driven mindset with strong attention to detail
· Full fluency in English
· A clean full drivers license
