Reporting directly to the finance director, the Commercial Finance Manager is responsible for driving business case development, cost analysis, and pricing strategy across operations. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams—including commercial, operations, purchasing, and plant finance—to ensure accuracy and competitiveness in quotations for new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will lead cost optimization initiatives and support strategic planning.
Main Missions:
1. Lead commercial finance efforts by partnering with teams such as Commercial, Operations, Purchasing, ER&D, and Plant Finance to develop robust business cases for new quotes.
2. Review program cost development to ensure accuracy, leveraging inputs from Purchasing and benchmark data.
3. Collaborate with Operations to design cost-effective manufacturing strategies, considering JV relationships, manufacturing footprint, volume, and vertical integration.
4. Participate actively in quote discussions to ensure key assumptions are clear and risks are mitigated.
5. Maintain communication with Operations and Plant Finance to understand labor and overhead costs.
6. Oversee costing, analysis, and planning for plants, ensuring timely and accurate cost data.
7. Interface with the regional Commercial team to evaluate product inquiries and quotations.
8. Analyze market competition and cost structures to ensure competitive quotations.
9. Maintain and optimize the quotation database to improve efficiency and response times.
10. Serve as a key commercial finance leader, driving talent development and operational excellence.
11. Align with Commercial leadership on pricing strategies and secure necessary approvals for APRs and quotations.
12. Support strategic planning with Manufacturing and Commercial teams.
13. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for management decision-making.
14. Drive cost improvements and enhance margins through cross-functional collaboration.
15. Ensure integrity and financial control in business case development.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Accounting, Finance, or Economics; an MBA, CMA, or CPA is a strong advantage.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance within an MNC, with expertise in financial planning & analysis or quotation management. Experience with top 500 US/European companies is a plus.
Background in the automotive industry and commercial finance is highly desirable.
Proven people management experience is an advantage.

Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data insights to strategic decisions.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.
