Job Title: Nursery Manager Location: Hertford, Hertfordshire Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum Contract Type: Perm / Full time Sector: Education An independent day nursery located within close proximity to Hertford station is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to join its expanding team of 20 staff. The nursery has a capacity for approximately 80 children aged from babies to five years old and pride itself as one of the leading French speaking Early Years providers in the UK. Along with a salary of up to £40,000 per annum, you will also receive 5.6 weeks paid annual leave (including bank holidays) with an additional day for each year of employment, working 30-35 hours/week, a day off for your birthday, progression opportunities and in-house training with leading names in the industry. As a Nursery Manager, your duties will include but not limited to: Take responsibility for drawing up long-term, medium-term, and sessional curriculum plans which take into account the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and to monitor the effectiveness of the settings curriculum. Effectively lead, develop, and manage a large team to ensure children are cared for in a happy, safe, and stimulating environment. Motivate and lead your team to achieve outstanding practice. Plan, review and implement industry and legislative developments to ensure compliance and a forward-thinking approach is adopted. Work in partnership with the parents and carers. Act as the setting's designated Child Protection Officer. Manage a fully operational budget. Ensure that the setting is compliant with Health and Safety and OFSTED requirements. Embrace, adopt and implement company initiatives and ideas to support the organisations aims and values. The ideal Nursery Manager will hold the following qualifications and experiences: An Early Years Degree (preferred). Previous experience in managing a similar sized nursery setting. Previous experience of leading exceptional childcare standards and compliance with Health and Safety and OFSTED requirements. A proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets and KPI's.
