An exciting opportunity has arisen at Writtle Surgery for a part-time experienced medical secretary to join the well-established, friendly team. Key duties will include; Provide essential secretarial duties. Manage all telephone and email enquiries. Manage referrals to secondary care. Audio typing of GP correspondence using a digital dictation system. Liaise with patients about their care and assisting GPs with negotiating care pathways. About the Candidate We would welcome applications from those with the following skills and experience: Excellent communication skills. Excellent general IT skills including MS Office and ideally experience of working with a clinical system. Understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality and data security, at all times. Ability to multi-task and to work accurately under pressure. Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently. Applicants will need to be flexible to cover colleagues sickness or holiday. About Us The Writtle Surgery is a 3 partner semi-rural dispensing practice of approximately 8,000 patients. We have 3 salaried GPs, and a fully staffed team including practice nurses, dispensers, secretaries and administrators, clinical pharmacists and receptionists.
