Overview
We are looking for a proactive and approachable Career Advisor to guide students as they plan their next steps into further education, training, or employment. You will provide high-quality careers information, advice, and guidance (CIAG), helping young people explore their interests and make informed choices. Beginning ASAP.
Duties
* Deliver one-to-one and group careers guidance sessions for students in Key Stages 3–5.
* Provide up-to-date information on further education, apprenticeships, university pathways, and labour market trends.
* Support students in writing CVs, completing applications, and preparing for interviews.
* Work closely with teachers, parents, and external providers to organise careers fairs, workshops, and employer visits.
* Maintain accurate records of guidance sessions and student progress.
Ideal qualifications
* Level 6 (or above) qualification in Careers Guidance or equivalent (e.g. CDI-recognised qualification).
* Knowledge of current education, training, and employment opportunities as Career Advisor.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young people.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
* Valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
