We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant who can make a real difference in their local community.

Southern Co-op is recruiting for a Customer Service Assistant to help deliver the excellent service we’re known for. Our retail stores are more than places to pick up groceries — they’re the heart of the town or village, the place to bump into friends, or a vital service for vulnerable people. Our Customer Service Assistants help improve store performance and are the friendly, recognizable face within the local community.
What we’re looking for
This is an exciting, varied part-time role within our retail store. Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. You should be a great communicator, unafraid to strike up conversations, with excellent communication skills, and a positive ‘can do’ attitude. You should have enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service and be willing to undertake daily tasks such as:
* Helping customers with queries and requests
* Merchandising stock to ensure great availability
* Assisting with stock control and replenishment
* Working at the checkout to serve customers
* Keeping the store clean, tidy, and safe
* Maintaining high standards of customer service
Beyond this, we encourage our Customer Service Assistants to engage in community activities, volunteering, and supporting good causes, reflecting love for where they live.
