Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of road safety, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
* Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary while maintaining safety standards.
* Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and logs of mileage.
* Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
* Assist in warehouse duties when required, including inventory management and stock organisation.
Experience
* Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential, with a proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
* Experience in commercial driving is preferred, along with a valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle type being operated.
* Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous, including skills in handling inventory and logistics.
* Strong communication skills are necessary to interact positively with customers and colleagues alike.
