Your Role as Assistant SENCO:
🔹 Support the SENCO in managing and delivering SEN provision across the school.
🔹 Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to implement EHCPs and targeted interventions.
🔹 Oversee SEN assessments, progress tracking, and reports to ensure effective student support.
🔹 Deliver small-group interventions and one-to-one support for students with additional needs.
🔹 Lead and develop staff training on SEN strategies, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
🔹 Help create an inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students reach their full potential.
Who We’re Looking For:
✅ QTS and experience in SEN teaching (NASENCO qualification desirable but not essential).
✅ A strong understanding of SEN strategies, EHCPs, and interventions within a secondary setting.
✅ Leadership skills – ability to inspire and support staff in delivering high-quality SEN provision.
✅ Excellent communication & organisational skills – to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
✅ A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to supporting student development.
✅ Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
