Offer description

We are looking for a skilled Conveyancer to manage a full caseload of residential property transactions from start to finish. This is a dynamic, hands-on role requiring a strong technical background in conveyancing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while benefiting from the support of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
 Manage and progress a diverse caseload of residential conveyancing matters,
including Freehold and Leasehold transactions, sales and purchases, Transfers of Equity, Re-mortgages, Shared Ownership, and New Builds.
 Provide exceptional client service by liaising directly with clients, estate agents,
mortgage lenders, and other relevant third parties, ensuring clear and professional
communication at all stages.
 Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and
completion statements, with precision and attention to detail.
 Order and review property searches, raise and respond to enquiries, and carry out
comprehensive title checks, reporting findings to clients and lenders as required.
 Manage the exchange of contracts and coordinate the completion process to ensure
smooth and efficient transactions.
 Handle all post-completion formalities, including SDLT returns, Land Registry
applications, and other necessary actions.
 Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records using the firm’s case management
system, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
 Ensure strict adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, as well as the firm’s
policies and best practices.

Person Specification

* Essential

 A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in residential conveyancing.
 Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision while maintaining high
standards of work.
 Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures and the legal
framework governing property transactions.
 Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time
effectively.
 Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage
confidently with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
 A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in legal documentation and case
management.
 Proficiency in using case management software and IT systems.

* Desirable

 Qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, or Legal Executive (CILEx).
 Familiarity with HM Land Registry, SDLT, and other related systems
