We are looking for a skilled Conveyancer to manage a full caseload of residential property transactions from start to finish. This is a dynamic, hands-on role requiring a strong technical background in conveyancing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while benefiting from the support of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and progress a diverse caseload of residential conveyancing matters,
including Freehold and Leasehold transactions, sales and purchases, Transfers of Equity, Re-mortgages, Shared Ownership, and New Builds.
Provide exceptional client service by liaising directly with clients, estate agents,
mortgage lenders, and other relevant third parties, ensuring clear and professional
communication at all stages.
Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and
completion statements, with precision and attention to detail.
Order and review property searches, raise and respond to enquiries, and carry out
comprehensive title checks, reporting findings to clients and lenders as required.
Manage the exchange of contracts and coordinate the completion process to ensure
smooth and efficient transactions.
Handle all post-completion formalities, including SDLT returns, Land Registry
applications, and other necessary actions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records using the firm’s case management
system, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
Ensure strict adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, as well as the firm’s
policies and best practices.
Person Specification
* Essential
A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in residential conveyancing.
Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision while maintaining high
standards of work.
Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures and the legal
framework governing property transactions.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time
effectively.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage
confidently with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in legal documentation and case
management.
Proficiency in using case management software and IT systems.

Qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, or Legal Executive (CILEx).
Familiarity with HM Land Registry, SDLT, and other related systems
