Fife Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual to take on the role of CAMHS Senior Nurse Therapist within the CURT (CAMHS Urgent Response Team).
This post will enhance the current provision for children and young people who, as a result of their mental health, present with acute and significant risk and require urgent specialist assessment and treatment. You will join a well‑established team with the aim of providing effective and timely community and hospital‑based assessments and therapeutic interventions.
You will manage an individual caseload and be able to assess and deliver a range of therapeutic interventions on an individual, family and group basis to children and young people with a wide range of mental health difficulties. The role requires the ability to work autonomously in a wide variety of hospital and community settings. Fife CAMHS is committed to the development of its staff and actively encourages participation in the NES CAMHS development programme and bespoke training based on individual and service needs.
Applicants should be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, have evidence of continuous professional development, and demonstrate skills and competencies normally associated with experience in a Child & Adolescent Mental Health setting. Applicants must be able to respond to the needs of the service and locality, including the ability to travel across Fife and wider as required.
