Reception Teaching Assistant - Lancaster Start Date: Tuesday 2nd September Working Days: Monday to Thursday Hours: 07:45 - 15:20 (including breakfast club duties) Contract: Long-term, until at least October half term Location: Lancaster Agency: Veritas Education Veritas Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Lancaster seeking a committed Reception Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from Tuesday 2nd September. This is a long-term opportunity, running Monday to Thursday, with working hours from 07:45 to 15:20 each day. The role includes breakfast club responsibilities before the start of the school day. Key Responsibilities: Supporting pupils in a Reception class, assisting with learning activities across the EYFS curriculum Helping to set up engaging, age-appropriate classroom and outdoor learning environments Supervising and engaging pupils during breakfast club Working closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support to individual learners Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children's social development The Ideal Candidate: Experience working within EYFS or with young children in a school/nursery setting A calm, nurturing and proactive approach Relevant qualifications (Level 2 or 3 TA/EYFS preferred but not essential with the right experience) Ability to commit to the role until at least October half term An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school community and make a real difference in the early stages of children's education.
