An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join our growing team, delivering high-quality services to a major UK supermarket client.
This is a field-based role involving planned and reactive maintenance across multiple retail stores. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of commercial refrigeration equipment, ensuring systems operate efficiently and in line with compliance standards.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Carry out PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive refrigeration maintenance across multiple sites.
Service and repair a range of CO₂ refrigeration pack systems.
Diagnose faults and identify non-repairable plant issues, providing clear recommendations for replacement to the Refrigeration Manager.
Undertake minor alterations and installations within your technical competency, in line with current regulations and specifications.
Complete regular store visits to perform reactive works, minor repairs and customer-requested tasks.
Accurately record all work using a PDA system.
✅ Essential Qualifications & Experience
SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent).
City & Guilds 2079-1 F-Gas Category 1 certification.
Proven experience working on supermarket refrigeration systems.
Strong background in PPM and reactive maintenance within a retail environment.
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Flexible to participate in a 1-in-4, 24/7 on-call rota.

City & Guilds 7671 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
City & Guilds qualification in CO₂ Refrigeration System Services.
