Purpose of the Job
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Head of Testing and Quality Assurance to lead our testing and QA function within a dynamic financial services environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing the organisation’s test strategy, ensuring the delivery of robust, secure, and high-quality technology solutions. This position requires deep expertise in automated testing frameworks for cloud applications, API integration testing, and comprehensive experience managing large-scale User Acceptance Testing (UAT) programmes.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a strategic vision for testing and QA across the organisation, aligning with business and regulatory requirements.
* Design, build, and maintain automated testing solutions for cloud-based platforms and integrated APIs, ensuring continuous delivery pipelines are robust and efficient.
* Lead, plan, and execute large-scale User Acceptance Testing (UAT) programmes, collaborating closely with business stakeholders to guarantee solutions meet user needs and compliance standards.
* Establish quality metrics and reporting frameworks to drive continuous improvement in test processes and outcomes.
* Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of testing and QA professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
* Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and product teams to embed quality practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
* Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in test automation, cloud computing, and financial services regulations.
* Ensure all testing activities adhere to security, compliance, and risk management standards relevant to the financial services sector.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Proven track record of building and scaling automated testing solutions for cloud-based applications and complex API integrations.
* Extensive experience designing and managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) programmes in large, regulated environments.
* Strong technical expertise in modern test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, etc.), with practical experience in CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP).
* Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience building and nurturing high-performing teams.
* Excellent understanding of financial services business processes, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
* A willingness to support the future growth and success of the Group
