Main Accountabilities:
1. Site planning: Plans on-site project activities related to the assigned discipline with Site Manager or Site Construction Manager, including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones. Coordinates agreements between customer and external resources on installation/construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.
2. Site coordination and monitoring: Responsible for coordinating all on-site activities related to the assigned discipline, from receiving the site area to handover, ensuring successful execution of start-up, installation/construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
3. Stakeholder relations: Serves as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and other local organizations.
4. Health, safety, environment (HSE), and project security: Ensures a detailed and up-to-date construction H&S plan is in place for each work package, compliant with company policies. Promotes health and safety awareness among on-site resources, and has the authority to suspend activities in case of HSE violations. Ensures proper handling, storage, and installation of equipment, coordinating logistics for timely delivery.
5. Sub-contractors: Manages on-site sub-contractors hired by ABB to ensure quality and progress meet delivery standards and deadlines.
6. Site cost management: Monitors project site costs, tracks actual spending against forecasts, and estimates final costs. Manages petty cash and has delegated authority for local purchasing within limits.
7. Documentation: Maintains and updates all project documentation, ensuring the latest revisions are used for construction work.
8. People leadership and development: Ensures the area is properly organized, staffed, and skilled. Guides, motivates, and develops team members, and manages local logistics such as accommodation, site facilities, and office equipment.
Summary:
Supervises a team in executing tasks within an area of responsibility, coordinates work assignments, and conducts performance reviews.
We seek candidates with several years of experience as a Site Supervisor, with good knowledge of Site Management, Health & Safety (OHS), Environment, Quality Assurance & Control, Installation Works, and basic understanding of Commissioning and Civil Works.
