Job Description
A Payroll and Finance Assistant (4 days) is being recruited by an established and successful manufacturing group based in Poole. Working closely with the Payroll Manager and Financial Controller, the bias is on payroll and you will take responsibility for end to end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for up to 450 employees across multiple sites including collating and processing timesheets, overtime, starters and leavers, payroll changes, statutory changes e.g. SSP, SMP and pensions, preparing payroll journals, assisting with year end, submission of P11D and P11D(b), ensuring compliance with HMRC submissions and producing P60s and P45s. The finance work would be employee related and include: processing employee expenses (manual and computerised) including resolving any queries with credit card company and employees, posting journals for payroll and credit cards and other ad hoc duties.Please note - this position is all office basedSuitable CandidateProficient in payroll processing and a good understanding of payroll legislation and complianceHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong Excel and excellent data entry skillsSelf motivated, a problem solver, professional and friendlyThis is a friendly and supportive working environment offering the following benefits:Some flexibility around hours 23 days holiday rising to 28 after service + bank holidaysPensionParkingPerkbox
