Intervention Specialist Teaching Assistant
Location: Garston (L19), Liverpool
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Flexible / Temporary (with potential for extension or permanent opportunity)
Pay Rate: £14.25 – £15.50 per hour (depending on experience)

The Role
As an Intervention Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Deliver structured interventions for pupils working below age‑related expectations
* Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to assess needs and monitor progress
* Adapt resources and teaching approaches to suit individual learning styles
* Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom
The Ideal Candidate Will
* Have recent experience delivering interventions in a primary school setting
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, particularly English and Maths
* Be confident working with small groups and on a one‑to‑one basis
* Be organised, proactive, and able to use their own initiative
* Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
* Be passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential
* Hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one through Teaching Personnel
