The role:
Responsible for the design and execution of the marketing strategy supporting customer acquisition and profitable growth across the Wholesale EMEA markets as well as the overall management of Molton Brown's Wholesale and E-com channels in France.
What you will do:
* Lead, motivate, coach and develop the team of direct reports across EMEA combining the use of technical marketing, commercial, creative thinking and people management skills to create a high performing group, both as a team and as individuals. Lead by example.
* Define and manage implementation of the marketing strategy to build brand equity, acquire new customers and drive sell-out across Wholesale EMEA and France Ecom, balancing brand activations and trade marketing activities within agreed spend limits to maximize profitability.
* Lead and deliver the France Wholesale business plan across Physical Wholesale and Ecom to achieve the NS and BP targets, using all appropriate company resources. Lead the partnership with our external partner Ingenuity to drive and grow Molton Brown's E-com channel in France in a profitable manner. Define and refine the strategy, processes and ways of working enabling this channel to grow profitably.
* Actively input into EMEA Leadership Team, contributing on a strategic and tactical basis, leveraging marketing & commercial expertise, plus company and market insight, into the challenges and goals of the EMEA Wholesale channel.
* Ensure that the strategy is cascaded, localised effectively, and properly executed. Provide quantitative and qualitative feedback on marketing spend and impact on NS / BP, constantly learning and adapting to what works for the market.
* Take responsibility for self-development using Senior Leadership, Peers, and the resources of Kao L&D / HCD to drive your own development and career progression.
* Leading a team of 7 individual across sales & marketing: - 3 direct reports : National Account Manager (C06), Senior Brand Manager DACH, UK Wholesale & Global 3rd party Ecom (C06), Brand Manager France & Benelux (C06) - 3 indirect reports: 3rd party Ecom Manage (C07), Junior Brand Manager DACH & UK Wholesale (C08), Junior Brand Manager France & Benelux, Marketing Intern Wholesale EMEA Recruits, develops and performance manages the team including appraisals and PDP's.
What you will need:
* Degree or equivalent
* CIM preferable (or equivalent)
* Min 6 years' experience in marketing with experience in trade and brand marketing, working in Retail / Wholesale ideally including multi-national and multi-channel business
* Min 3 years' experience in people management, including remote management of colleagues, ideally including international.
* Expert understanding of digital marketing and trading.
* Proven negotiation experience
* Be happy to travel across UK and European markets up to 6 times a year, requiring 1 to 2 overnight stays in many instances.
* Good communication skills tailored to the audience using the relevant mediums of face to face, video, telephone, email etc
* Highly planned and organised with strong attention to detail.
* Strong influencing, team-working and collaboration skills.
