Job Summary
The General Maintenance role is essential for ensuring that all facilities and equipment are maintained to the highest standards. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all systems operate efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of mechanical knowledge and electrical experience, along with strong leadership and customer service skills.
Duties
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, including mechanical, electrical, and
* General building tasks.
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment, infrastructure, and safety systems.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns to minimise downtime.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report recurring issues.
* Support the setup and relocation of machinery, workstations, and office furniture.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Liaise with external contractors and suppliers when necessary.
* Assist with site improvements and refurbishment projects.
Skills
* Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling and working at heights.
* Familiarity with health and safety practices and regulations.
* Driving licence
