Extra recruitment are currently recruiting for a Driver and Trade Counter for my client based in Birmingham. The Driver and Trade Counter will be approachable and friendly, someone who will meet the needs of our customers and provide service with a smile. In this position, you will play a key role in the sale of our full range of building supplies and therefore, previous trade counter sales experience in a busy merchant environment is desirable for this role. Responsibilities and Duties of a Driver and Trade Counter: Dealing with customers face to face and over the telephone Delivering orders to customers Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice Delivering stock to customers Providing quotations for customers Purchasing materials and managing stock levels for the category Taking a proactive approach to sales, using every opportunity to make or increase sale Details of a Driver and Trade Counter: Salary: £27,000 plus overtime Hours: Monday to Friday, 2 Saturdays per month (over time) Duration: Permanent Qualification and Skills required for a Driver and Trade Counter: Sales experience within a merchant environment is preferable although training will be given to the right candidate Building supplies product knowledge is advantageous Confident with dealing with customers The ability to build great customer relationships a good telephone manner, excellent communication, and interpersonal skill Computer literate Full clean driving license Benefits of a Driver and Trade Counter: 20 days holiday plus 8 days bank holiday Pension Parking For more information please apply
